Look under the sink at the bottom of the disposal — there's a small red reset button. Press it. If that doesn't do it, the unit comes with a hex key that fits the bottom — turn the motor manually with that to break the jam free, then hit reset. If neither works, then call us — you may have a burned-out motor or something genuinely stuck. (Note: always make sure the unit is OFF at the switch before sticking anything into it.)
If your disposal is leaking from the body (not just a connection), making a grinding metal-on-metal sound, or just stopped working entirely with no signs of life — it's time to replace. Disposals are sealed units and most repairs cost more than the part is worth.
